We provide continued training to support your education within our Six Contracting 101 program, on-the-job-training, and opportunities to gain personal certifications (i.e. OSHA 30). In addition to further training, professional development is driven by our operational philosophy. Client service is decentralized. Our project teams handle every aspect of their projects, from concept to completion, which promotes individual growth and accountability.
As part of Six Contracting's professional development model, our entry-level new hires can elect to be either a field engineer on a path to superintendent or a project engineer on a path to project management. We cross-train both in all management disciplines and methods for exposure to all aspects of our industry and the opportunities we provide. As seen below, both paths provide equal opportunity for advancement.

WORK AND TRAIN WITH US
Six Contracting interns learn from the industry's best leaders and teachers and experience first-hand the fast-paced world of construction. This is not just a summer job, it is the start of your career. We developer our intern program to show prospective construction managers what they can expect as a graduate coming into the industry. We know the value of training students while still in school to help them prepare for their professional career. Students can work and train with us through multiple internships before they graduate. We are dedicated to training and hiring our interns for full-time positions to help our company grow organically.
Our internships are open to undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on, practical experience in the design and construction fields. Qualified applicants will assist project teams in acquiring and managing construction projects, and they will be involved in all phases of the process - from bidding to final completion.
In addition to the general fields of residential/commercial design and construction, we also offer opportunities for students in a specialized field of your interest such as technology, quality control, environmental health and safety, sustainability, mechanical/electrical and design/build construction.
